In the shrink tunnel STCW 60, the shrink packs pass through the hot water cascades fully automatically, without cycle times and cost-intensive production breaks. The result is uniform wrinkle-free packaging. Shrinking, drying and further transport run fully automatically and efficiently. The devices are centrally monitored and controlled by the powerful PLC control system from Mitsubishi. The WEBOMATIC CleanDesign® of the shrink tunnel with bevelled surfaces guarantees direct water drainage and the avoidance of dirt pockets. The magnetic coupling drives the conveyor belt wear-free, two measuring systems ensure the necessary water level in the shrink tunnel.
Efficiency in energy consumption is ensured, among other things, by the double-walled housing insulation and the gradual activation of the heating elements. The upper opening flap and front door make the units easy to operate and service. If a central steam supply is available, the shrink tunnels with steam heating can be integrated at low cost.
The shrink tunnel automatically detects when it needs to be cleaned or descaled and reports this automatically via the touch screen. In the case of manual cleaning, the operator is guided through a cleaning program via the monitor. He receives a message each time a tap is to be opened and closed and only has to acknowledge the message on the monitor after carrying out the operating step. With the optional automatic cleaning, the descaling / cleaning program runs fully automatically, only cleaning agents have to be refilled manually.
